The steering Group for the Ockley NDP are making great progress with the push to finally get the village NDP "over the line". It has been many years since this process initially began and the NDP has been delayed several times.
The current steering group, made up of Ockley residents who have volunteered their time, are a dynamic group who are working really hard to finally deliver the Ockley Neighbourhood Plan. The Visions & Objectives for the plan have been updated for 2026 and you can find these in the documents section of the NDP tab here on the web site. An initial survey on the suitability of the Visions & Objectives was held in September 2026 and after a good response in support of these they were adopted to become part of the final draft plan.
Further village consultation will be happening in the coming months. It is important that as many residents a possible give their views so that the Ockley NDP can truly represent what the village needs and wants, to thrive in the future. Having an NDP in place will mean that any Community Infrastructure Levy from new developments is increased to a rate of 25%, which will provide much needed funding for key infrastructure projects to improve the lives of all residents.
